A helpul accessory for setting up and adjusting your servos.

Click on the picture above to go to the Hobby Lobby page.

This is a great, little, inexpensive device that was purchased from Hobby Lobby. You can plug in one or two servos and a spare battery pack to check, center or adjust your servos. You can use it during the installation process in your plane to get your servos set up before plugging in to your receiver. It is very handy on the bench as well to simply test to make sure that servo is still working properly. For the cost (around $13) you can't beat it.

Having trouble keeping your CA glue tips and caps clean. Try this simple solution. Put the tips and caps in a small jar and add acetone. Cap the jar for 12-24 hours and it will loosen the CA and the tips will be as good as new. You can also use acetone to remove unwanted CA from your models. Take your time and carefully wipe acetone over that unwanted CA and like magic it will be gone. Try the acetone in a hidden or sample area first to be sure it will not effect your covering or paint.

Floss.jpg

Here is a very simple, effective and inexpensive way to tie servo leads together. Just use a length of dental floss. Weave it between the wires on each side and tie it off around the connector. Oh yes, and use it for it original purpose too!

Above is a simple and inexpensive smoke system. The pump is an automotive windshield washer fluid pump available at most automotive parts stores. The restrictor is simply a wood dowel with a nylon wing bolt.

Above is Joe Grube's design of a wing rib jig. Looks like a very useful tool. We will see if we can get some additional detail to add in the near future.
